If you guys are in Perth for a long layover but don’t want to waste time snoozing. This “One day in Perth” series is for you. I separated the post to three parts so I don’t have to cram all 50 photos in one post.
A few weeks ago, one of my best friend from Singapore swung by Perth just for a day (sort of like a layover). After struggling to wake up for breakfast, I stepped out of the house around 12.30pm to pick my friend up at her hotel and we decided to treat the hungry tummy at Mary Street Bakery prior to our adventure.
Free Range Egg with Soldier Finger and Tomato Relish
Kingfish Soba Noodle with Tofu
Fried Chicken Buttermilk Pancake
Great coffee, decent food and Good company. This completes my perfect weekend.
I got the Free Range Egg with Soldier Finger and Tomato relish. It’s just a simple toasted bread with butter, two soft boiled eggs and some tomato relish at the side. Sadly my soft boiled egg was nearly hard boiled, or else it would be a great breakfast dish for me.
A friend got the Kingfish Soba Noodle with Tofu, she didn’t enjoy it though. I did not get to taste it so I can’t comment. But I would suggest they reduce the tofu size.
Our favourite dish was the Fried Chicken Buttermilk Pancake. It’s just divine. I mean you can’t go wrong with fried chicken. A bit too heavy for my lunch (especially when I JUST woke up), but I would definitely order this again to share!
