Nobu Crown Perth is certainly one of our favorites Japanese restaurant in Perth. Sadly there’s only a few good ones. We always come back for their Yellowtail sashimi, Black Cod Miso and of course, Lava cake. Ever since we discovered their Beef Carpaccio with shaved Mamjimup truffle last year, we are so hooked that we decided to come back every year to taste Nobu Crown Perth Truffle Dish.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the truffle menu as I was too busy eating 😛 They use Mamjimup truffle for all their truffle dishes. We had only ordered two truffle dishes from the truffle menu: Deep Fried Scampi with Mamjimup Truffle & Beef Carpaccio Dry Miso with Mamjimup Truffle.
They both could cost you at least $40-$70 each. You can also add more ‘grams’ of shaved truffle on the dish if you have more money to spend. 1 gram of truffle can cost you about $8.
The Beef Carpaccio was absolutely divine. Deep fried Scampi was recommended by the waitress, and to be honest, it didn’t amaze us. It just tasted like some fried stuff, but without the ‘WOW’ effect.
As usual, the rest of the dishes are the staple/must order every time we go to Nobu Perth. We tried to order one or two different dishes each time but their best dishes, in our opinion are still: Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, Black Cod Miso, Nobu Signature Lava Cake & Bento Box.
Complete list of food we ordered:
Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, $28
Deep Fried Scampi with Mamjimup Truffle, approx. $60
Beef Carpaccio Dry Miso with Mamjimup Truffle, approx. $50
Prawn Creamy Spicy Sauce, $26
Black Cod Miso, $48
Nobu Signature Lava Cake, $18
Nobu Crown Perth Truffle Menu Final Verdict:
Nobu Crown is undeniably expensive, and you can’t get full unless you ordered at least $100 per person (good for you if you have small appetite!). But you do get what you paid for. They have amazing cocktails and wine list as well.
For higher end Japanese food, Nobu Crown Perth is the place we choose to go, as we can’t seem to find any other better one here in Perth.
