This is Hong Kong Travel Itinerary Day 3 for my Hong Kong Trip in 2017.
Read more of my earlier days in Hong Kong:
On Day 3, we went to one of the most magical and happiest places on earth – Hong Kong Disneyland! Hong Kong Disneyland was the most enjoyable day we had for our whole Hong Kong trip. I went to Hong Kong Disneyland 4 years ago and I came back 4 years later, they added Tomorrowland and Mystic Manor to the theme park.
How much does it cost?
So if you go to Hong Kong Disneyland Website here, you can see all sort of information you need, including ticket prices, show time, dining, any special event going on and so forth.
So there’s a ONE DAY PACKAGE and TWO DAY PACKAGE (Note: these costs were taken on May 2018, it may subject to change).
- Adult: 1 Day Package – HKD619 / 2 Day Package – HKD689
- Children (3-11 years): 1 Day Package – HDK 458 / 2 Day Package – HKD 508
The 2 days package is cheaper than the 1-day package. If you have enough time to spare in Hong Kong, definitely try the 2-day package, highly recommend it for families with children.
You can buy the ticket online on their website, on your travel agency or at your hotel reception.
How to Get there?
- Take the MTR to Hong Kong Disneyland, they do have a special route and Disney Train if you want to experience that. It is also the cheapest way to get there. But it takes longer (at least one hour, depends on where you are) to reach Hong Kong Disneyland.
- Check with your hotel reception, some hotels provide free shuttle rides to Hong Kong Disneyland, or some provide a paid ride.
- Take the taxi. That’s what we did because we wanted to save time. It is the fastest way to get to Hong Kong Disneyland (less than 30 mins). But it’s expensive, about HKD250 from Tsim Sha Tsui.
PLAZA INN, MAIN STREET USA
HONG KONG DISNEYLAND
This restaurant theme is inspired by Disneyland movie MULAN. The restaurant serves Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. We were hungry and craving for some Cantonese food so we chose this restaurant.
Honestly, I find theme park restaurants are most likely, not good and they are on the expensive side. After trying this restaurant, I don’t recommend it. I can’t remember how much exactly it cost, but the food are quite expensive and it doesn’t even taste good.
While most rides are, you know for kids. I did enjoy the Iron Man ride and the Star War Mountain Space Ride was really cool. They are the must try!
IRON MAN RIDE
Iron Man Ride is a 4D roller coaster ride. They gave out 3D glasses before the ride begins.
The visual effects is pretty cool, though it’s not a crazy ride but still quite fun and enjoyable!
SPACE MOUNTAIN RIDE
This is a roller coaster in the dark! It’s super cool and if possible you should keep your eyes open throughout the whole ride in order to enjoy the lighting effect!
This is one of my favourite ride in the park.
Fantasyland is the most crowded park in Hong Kong Disneyland. It’s very beautiful and has a food court. My must try would be the Mad Hatter Tea Cups, “its a small world”, Mickey’s Philharmagic, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Hong Kong Disney Railroad.
This is highly recommended!
The only “adult” rides they have in this theme park is Big Grizzly Mountain Runway Mine Cars. This is the best ride in the whole Hong Kong Disneyland.
The queue is crazy and I can’t believe we queued for 2-3 times for this ride because it’s so good! Definitely worth the wait!
This is the latest theme in Hong Kong Disneyland (as of December 2017).
This is not a crazy roller coaster ride but the visual effect of the ride is really cool. I would recommend giving it a go if you have time.
Again, the queue for this ride is very long, but not as bad as Grizzly Gulch.
NIGHT VIEW IN HONG KONG DISNEYLAND
So we left at 7:30pm, right before the fireworks. You can definitely stay for the fireworks of course. But we tried to avoid the “leaving” crowd after fireworks so we left earlier. We took the taxi back to Yau Ma Tei for our dinner.
AUSTRALIAN MILK COMPANY, Jordon
47 Parkes St, Jordan, Hong Kong
This restaurant is famous for their Egg sandwich and milky egg white dessert (double milk dessert).
This place is always crowded and you most likely have to share a table with strangers.
The food is definitely divine and the prices are reasonable as well. This is one of my must visit restaurant in Hong Kong!
Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop, Jordon
51 Parkes St, Jordan, Hong Kong
We had our mini dinner at Australian Milk Company and we discovered this little noodle shop just right next door.
Local people were queuing up for this and we were curious, so we joined the queue and discovered one of the BEST beef brisket noodles ever!
The place is really small and you might need to join a table with strangers but it’s totally worth it. We actually came back here another day for a snack lol, yes that’s how good it is. Highly recommend!
So that ends our Hong Kong Travel Itinerary Day 3: One Day in Hong Kong Disneyland.
Thank you for stopping by!
