Bistro Guillaume Perth, in Crown Perth, offers a menu abundant with French classics and modern, French provincial surroundings with spectacular outdoor views.
Out of all the restaurant in Crown, Bistro Guillaume Perth is the only one we haven’t tried. Until we got our Perth Entertainment Book, we decided to give it a go. We were so impressed by the service and food that we came back again the after.
Read our second visit here.
So during our first visit to Bistro Guillaume, we had three people and we ordered the following:

Bistro Guillaume Perth: Restaurant Ambience
Bistro Guillaume Perth Review
Service & Ambience: 4.5/5.0
Staffs are all very well-trained and the restaurant ambience is really good. Perfect for a dinner date or classy nights out with the girls. The food came in very quickly for entrée, but it slows down during the main. Not much delay but we just like it when our food comes out faster ( I mean who likes to wait for food?).
Food & Drinks: 4.0/5.0
I had a white wine (can’t remember the name, sorry!) and it was good. Their wine lists look pretty decent to me, although I’m not a professional wine drinker.
Their food portions were MASSIVE. Especially the dishes for two, we have 3 persons and we were so SHOOK to see the size of the dishes. The lamb shoulder is definitely not for two, at least for 3 – 4 I swear. Unless you are a huge eater. The food was surprisingly great! We didn’t have high hopes at first but was so surprised by how good the food they serve there. Every single dishes we ordered are our favourite, except for the steak tartare, which lack a bit of taste.
Bistro Guillaume Perth Dishes Review
Steak Tartare – Least favourite of all. The steak tartare has no taste nor scent to it. Crackers were not enough as well.
Cheese Souffle – very cheesy and smooth, imagine a cheese marshmallow melts in your mouth. Definitely a heavenly for those cheese lovers out there! Onion soup was
Onion soup – sweet and tasty. The taste of onion is very strong but acceptable, in a good way. The sweetness of this soup definitely compliments the saltiness of the cheese souffle. Recommend sharing this soup instead of drinking it be on your own.
Crab Linguine – Tangy and very refreshing pasta dish. This has to be my favourite of all. The crab was super fresh and sweet. Pasta cooked to al dente. I can eat this pasta all day every day.
Lamb Shoulder – Lamb was very tender. The portion was crazily huge. We love the roasted potato that came with it. This was our second favourite dish.
The total bill costs us $220 including one wine. We didn’t order any dessert as we were exploding. We were unable to finish the lamb shoulder, we brought it home and had it for dinner for two days. Save two dinners outside!
I would highly recommend this place over Rockpool. While we are yet to try their steak, but comparing the food and price to Rockpool, Bistro Guillaume Perth worth your money.
